THIS FRENCH CAFÉ TICKS ALL THE RIGHT BOXES

Parlour Boutique at Dubai World Trade Centre is a contemporary French café.

We were one of the first to be invited to experience lunch at Parlour Boutique. Inspired by the French tradition of palur, or gathering together in a ‘place for speaking.’ The contemporary café, offers a fresh, sociable approach to French dining in Dubai.

The gorgeous décor is minimal with mirrors and modern lighting. There is a coffee bar offering speciality coffee, open bakery, laid-back lounge area and fine dining restaurant, Parlour Boutique has been conceived with the intention of catering to a range of social experiences. Guests can also utilise the ambient library space with its large communal table, for larger gatherings.

The menu constists of your favourite French classics, presented with contemporary panache and flair but with surprisingly affordable prices. The lunch menu boasts fresh salads, elegant entrées, traditional mains and delicious desserts.

We adored the Super Ceasar (40 AED) that was made of superfoods including kale, broccoli, fried chickpeas and a light dressing. The Beets and Apple Tartare (25 AED) was refreshing and unique-the crispy goat cheese was simply divine.

In the mains we tried the Seabass (75 AED) made in a bag-simple flavours that let the fresh fish shine through. The Chicken Cordon Bleu (45 AED) with mushroom sauce and a side of creamy potato gratin, was definitely the winner.

Although we had no space for dessert, we did take a few bites of the beautifully presented Rose and Raspberry Éclair (20 AED) and it was the perfect way to end a lovely meal.
